Szinergia website redesign

The redesign of the Synergy website was a really exciting and complex task. The main activity of SZINERGIA Project, Operations and Change Management Ltd. is consulting and training in the fields of project management, operations solutions, change management and digital solutions.
The first step was to determine what content will be moved to the new site and what is no longer needed. The identity colours and logo were given, and I was given a very detailed brief of what was required.

The main identity colour was green, and we chose complementary colours. We also assigned these colours to categories to make it easier for the user to navigate within the site.
The first thing to do after the meeting was to go through the existing website and select what content from the old website would be included on the new website. We also made sure that the old links didn’t run 404, so we redirected the subpages that were being eliminated to other live subpages.
The next step was to create the wireframe. At this point we also defined the menu structure of the page. There were a lot of subpages and an extensive blog page, so it was very important that visitors did not get lost.
After the wireframe was approved, I created web graphic designs, first for the main site in mobile and desktop view. After the main page design was adopted, I designed the main sub-pages, of course also responsively.
As the website allows you to sign up for training courses, I have added a webshop engine (Woocommerce) to the site and the training courses are 1-1 product, each training date is a product variation.
The checkout also had to be completely customised, as the training courses require participant data and, as these are virtual products, no delivery information is needed.
I’ve transformed the classic “blog” page into a Knowledge Repository, and divided the content into 4 sub-categories: case studies, videos, podcasts and blog posts. All this is done so that the user can easily create a new post for any of the categories, no other action is required, just sharpen it and the content is automatically put in place.

It was important to ensure that they didn’t navigate away from the site while reading the Knowledge Base if they were watching a video or listening to a podcast, so with Youtube and Spotify players embedded in the website, they could watch/listen to this content without leaving the site.
The end result is a modern, versatile website with e-commerce functions, where you can register for training courses and where the system can be expanded later.
